Sourced from Two Exceptional Regions:
Brazil – The Cerrado Region
Located in the city of Patrocínio, the Cerrado region boasts the oldest coffee plantations in Brazil. This area is renowned for its steady climate, dry-fresh winters, and warm-wet summers, creating perfect conditions for growing exceptional beans. With altitudes ranging from 3,000 to 4,000 feet, the diverse terroirs and microclimates produce a wide range of flavours, from velvet-chocolaty to bright-flowery profiles.
Our supplier is a pioneer in sustainable coffee farming, setting the standard for eco-friendly practices and producing coffee for a better world. The Daterra Coffee project focuses on environmental preservation and social development, becoming the first Rainforest Alliance and ISO 14001 certified coffee farm in Brazil. They also hold UTZ Kapeh and IBD Organic certifications.
Their commitment to sustainability goes beyond certifications, extending to sharing knowledge with smaller producers to promote social progress and coffee security. They believe in developing expertise on how to keep producing high-quality coffee in harmony with nature. They are dedicated to the environment, their workers, and the community, ensuring that relationships with all stakeholders are as important as their commitment to quality.
Colombia – The Cauca Region
In the heart of Colombia, the Cauca region is home to a resilient and thriving coffee-growing community. After years of conflict, this area has flourished, with many families now producing high-quality coffee for export.
The commitment to Fairtrade ensures that farmers earn premiums that are reinvested into community projects, improving productivity, infrastructure, and overall quality of life.
